Goals with Our Virtual IOPs

The goals with treatment in the Connections virtual IOPs include helping patients with the following:

  • Improving daily functioning, reducing distress, and managing symptoms of addiction and mental health challenges
  • Identifying maladaptive coping behaviors and replacing them with alternative, healthier coping strategies
  • Identifying triggers for relapse, understanding roadblocks to recovery, and developing and implementing a relapse prevention plan
  • Increasing a sense of resilience and recognizing personal growth

The teams work with patients to develop ongoing treatment plans, encouraging them to collaborate to determine the best course of treatment by following the continuum of care. This can include identifying and utilizing outpatient care and community support.

Therapeutic Support

Psychotherapeutic groups are the foundation of treatment in the Connections virtual IOPs. These groups are led by skilled clinicians and provide an environment for patients to explore emotions, behaviors, and interpersonal dynamics. This allows them to focus on emotional expression, self-awareness, and relational growth through group interaction.

There are various types of groups patients are a part of, including:

  • Psychoeducation groups
  • Process groups
  • Motivational interviewing groups
  • SMART Recovery groups
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills groups

Why Choose Our Virtual IOPs

Virtual intensive outpatient programs provide ease of accessibility to care.

  • Convenience and accessibility: Attend sessions securely from home without facing travel barriers and timing conflicts.
  • Clinical expertise: Qualified, experienced team members provide evidence-based therapies that are tailored to the needs of the patients in the group.
  • Community and support: Connect with peers who are facing similar challenges.
  • Flexibility: Participating in a virtual program can make it easier to attend to daily responsibilities without much disruption.
  • Continuity of care: An IOP can serve as a smooth transition from higher levels of care or provide ongoing outpatient support.

Confidentiality

Care provided in the virtual IOPs is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Sessions are conducted through secure, encrypted platforms that protect your personal health information, ensuring that your privacy is safeguarded in the same way it would be in an in-person setting.

Measurement-Based Care

All aspects of the care we provide in our virtual IOPs are designed to help patients achieve the best treatment outcomes possible, which is why we place a heavy focus on measurement-based care.

Measurement-based care is a clinical practice in which outcomes data from validated assessments are utilized systematically to guide and improve treatment decisions in real time. This allows treatment teams to have the ability to pivot when therapeutic interventions are not working and react proactively rather than reactively. This approach is collaborative and includes the involvement of the patient as a vocal participant in their care.

Assessments are collected at the time of admission, at two-week intervals, and again at discharge, giving both the patient and our team members thorough insight into how the patient has progressed.

Our team is dedicated to making sure that each person in our virtual IOPs receives the focused, personalized care they need to help them find lasting recovery.
